Effective September 12, we have updated our visitor policy guidelines. Anyone may choose to wear a mask at their own discretion. Visitors will be expected to comply with Mercy’s current infection control practices as appropriate, which may include the use of facial masks. This policy will replace all other Visitor Guidelines (last updated 11.01.2024) until further notice.
If a visitor is displaying respiratory symptoms, such as a cough, they may be asked to wear a mask while in our facility.
To ensure the safety of our visitors, patients, and staff, the following changes are being made:
General Hospital Visiting Policy
• Visitation restrictions may occur to ensure the rights and safety of everyone
Reference SB1606
• Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times
No overnight stays except for the support person
• Surrogate or Adoptive parents are allowed to provide infant care
If the unit has availability, a room will be provided to care for their infant
• Special Care Nursery: visitors are restricted to parents only
• For the Family BirthPlace, visitors must remain in their patient room or in the waiting room
